Monthly RHD Student Interview - Beth Morrison

I am working on conflicting US military practices surrounding the protection of civilians in warfare. I find the laws of armed conflict particularly interesting in general, given the general belief is that "all's fair in love and war", and yet the reality is that war is a heavily rules based activity, and that states by and large do actually adhere to these rules.
I am incredibly fortunate to be supervised by Chris Reus-Smit and Seb Kaempf, both fantastic scholars whose works I relied on heavily during my masters thesis at UWA.
My supervisors were a large part of my decision to choose UQ for my PhD, along with the size and reputation of the department. The halls really are filled with world class scholars.
