Foundations in Politics, Policy and International Studies with Dr Molly Murphy

This course introduces students to the key ideas, issues and modes of critical thought for study in political science and international studies. We provide the foundational content necessary for the study of governance and public policy, international relations, development, and peace and conflict studies through introductory lectures designed specifically for each stream. We then examine the issues, modes of analysis, and ideas that cut across all four areas of study. We examine war and violence, economics, complex emergencies, law and governance, and other pressing global and local problems using a variety of lenses drawn from international relations, governance and public policy, and peace and conflict studies.
