Evolution of the International System with A/Prof Sarah Percy
This course examines the main developments in the evolution of the international system from renaissance Europe to the Second World War. The modern international system will be studied through a focus on Europes encounter with the non-European world, the Peace of Westphalia, the French Revolution, the emergence of nationalism and the rise of liberalism to explore the continuities and changes evident in the sovereign state and international system.
