Cancelled - Panel Discussion: Emotions in Politics and Policy
We regret to advise this event has been cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.
This panel event / roundtable brings together scholars from various backgrounds to discuss the new wave of research on emotions in politics, peace, conflict and international relations. While emotions, feelings and affects are now widely seen as crucial to societies and their politics, the formal role of emotions in policy has still to be systematically explored. The speakers in this panel address the issues at stake and explore the significance and challenges of analysing emotions in a broad range of political issues including Indigenous recognition, health and disability policy, crises management, foreign policy, interstate negotiations and diplomacy, humanitarianism and aid, reconciliation and peacebuilding.
