Saturday, April 8th, 2017

State Library of Queensland

11:00am to 5:00pm followed by a cocktail function 5:00pm – 6:30pm

The Annual Rotary Peace Fellows’ Seminar is a platform for members of the Rotary and University communities to discover first hand the experiences and learning of Rotary Peace Fellows at UQ’s Rotary Peace Centre. Class XIV Fellows and the Graduate Centre at the School of Political Science and International Studies are delighted to invite you to join us for this vital component of the Fellows’ activities at UQ.

The Rotary Peace Centre at the University of Queensland was established in 2001, after an extensive worldwide search by Rotary International. Rotary wished to initiate a new program that would make a practical contribution to the quest for a more peaceful world. Annually up to 100 Peace Fellows attend one of the Rotary Centres around the world to undertake a Master’s Degree or Professional Development Certificate in Peace and Conflict Studies. This reflects Rotary’s commitment to education and learning as an important tool in the goal to advance peace and justice internationally, alongside its other major focus of humanitarian work such as eradicating Polio and improving water and sanitation in various locations around the world.

Please use this link to register with our online invitation  and feel free to share this email with colleagues to help celebrate the Centennial of the Rotary Foundation.

The State Library is readily accessible by public transport or on-site parking at a flat fee of $16.
