Student Representatives wanted for Teaching and Learning Committees in 2020

3 Oct 2019

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is currently recruiting for student representatives to commence from Semester 1, 2020 to sit on the Teaching and Learning Committees for:

- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
- School of Education
- School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry
- School of Languages and Cultures
- School of Music
- School of Political Sciences and International Studies
- School of Social Science

School Teaching and Learning Committees provide advice and recommendations to the Heads of School and School Executive Committees around all aspects of teaching and learning in the respective School. The Faculty-Level HASS Teaching and Learning Committee provides strategic advice to the Executive Dean on all matters relating to teaching and learning within the Faculty.

The student representatives are members of the Teaching and Learning Committee and serve for the calendar year. There are at least 2-3 student representatives on any given committee: 1-2 undergraduate students and one postgraduate student depending on the School.

Meeting dates vary from committee-to-committee but are generally held once per month at the St Lucia campus. It is expected that student representatives attend all meetings (unless conflicting with classes) that are held from March through November.

We encourage students from all year levels to apply for these roles.

**IMPORTANT**: Please state which Schools you would like to be considered for in the ‘Other information’ section of the application form.

 Apply through UQ Student Hub.
